Press conference Monday.

I don't have many details, but the hospital informed me that there will be a press conference on Monday, at noon. More exciting than the press conference is the fact that I will finally meet my recipient! It's very exciting and I am really looking forward to it. I have to get a haircut now since my Italian Afro ain't lookin' so hot...

Slept like a baby last night...

Hooray! I was wondering when that was going to take place. THIS is what it's all about, Ant. I'm thrilled for you--really.

One thing to keep in mind...while you may think that the 'fro gives you superpowers, it doesn't--so keep taking the afternoon nap(s)! Anesthesia really (pardon the pun) knocks you out, and your body needs time to recover. :-)

Looking forward to buying you a drink and seeing you soon!

Yeah, it's gonna be awesome. I just hope my recipient doesn't hate me for this horrible haircut I just got. Didn't go to my normal guy...

If it makes you feel any better, after the spot of rain we had today, I've got you quite beat in the Afro category. Mine's more angelic-looking than mobster though.

Typed words can't properly express my excitement for you and this "press conference," but think in the likes of a baby bunny on speed. I want to hear your first-person account before I read it on here, so be sure to stop by asap. The tractor looks great on the front lawn, by the way.

Hope you didn't get too much shorn off--we'll be looking for you at the market in the morning and don't want to mistake you for a six-foot-something walking gnocco.

Hello! First, let me say "YOU ROCK!!" My Dad saved me the article from the Wall Street Journal...and I've just now gotten the nerve to look up your blog.

I too am a "non-directed" kidney donor!!!! I tell everyone I can that I'd do it all again(but, alas, I need the kidney I have left)! Though it's been 3.5 years...I've still not met my recipient. I'm envious that you'll have the chance to do so!

I'd love to chat further with you (or any of your "faithful peeps")!

You are a hero!

Hats off to all those non directed donors willing to save a strangers life. It renews one's faith in the human spirit. We need more like that.
