A bit of a scare, and an "all clear"

So the lovely (dare I say hot?) donor coordinator called me yesterday to inform me that the x-ray showed a spot on my lung. "You don't smoke, right?" she asked, mirroring my immediate and worst fear. No, I don't smoke, but I do have really bad luck. I would have to make a trip back down today for a more precise look at what what hidden inside. 250 miles, and 7 hours later, I get what I wanted to hear. "All clear"

That's a relief.

Bless you and I hope that you're recovery is speedy and uneventful. I just read your story and am in awe of you. Thank you thank you for being so incredibly generous. I have iga nephropathy (a kidney disease) that could ultimately lead to me having a transplant and people like you are a wonderful example for everyone. Thank you so much for being a shining example of kindness.

Thanks lovin, but don't be in awe of me. All I did was lie there and let them poke around inside of me. The doctors and scientists are the folks who deserve the esteem...Sure, I'm probably kinder than most, but at the end of the day, I didn't do much.

I wish you the best for your health. It is my true desire for this blog to inspire someone else to donate to someone like you. Good luck, and keep checking back!
